What types of cheese are used to make pizza?

Pizza recipes include the use of cheese; personal taste is one of the controlling factors that contribute to the making of pizza. In most cases the Italian brand cheese are favored in any form of cooking, however there have been other types of cheese used. The home made pizzas use pizza got form the shops and in most cases it is difficult to buy purely Italian cheese and thus one might end up buying variations of the cheese. In most locales the type of cheese used in making pizza is dependent on the chef’s recipes and is controlled by the availability of the cheese in the market.

The cheese types used may include; blue cheese, cheddar, brie, camembert, Colby, feta, goat cheese, gorgonzola, limburger, Monterey jack, parmesan, manchego, mozzarella,  port de salut, provolone, ricotta, Romano, smoked gouda and Roquefort among others. The cheese that one uses will mostly depend on the recipe that one uses. Restaurant pizzas are mostly controlled by the available cheese, but with some specific restaurants the pizzas have to follow a given recipe to the order. Pizzas such as the Flatbush pizza, Brooklyn pizza, Midwood pizza and kosher pizza, use specially selected cheese types.

When there are restrictions based on religion one might opt to choose the best in the region. Some type of cheese used in making pizzas might mean that the pizza is only for a specific group such as the kosher pizza. If one has to order the special personalized pizzas it is best that one orders from a restaurant that specializes in a given type of pizza. If one wants to order kosher pizza then its best that one requests a kosher delivery from a dairy kosher restaurant to be sure that the cheese used is kosher.
